Notes on representations

Gendered Cards

Cards which are traditionally associated with gendered names or characters have been renamed and modified to represent what i think of as the core value or characteristic of the card. I don’t always understand gender roles, other than outward presentations, so often, i guess at the intention.
in cases where there are paired cards (emperor and empress)
For the court cards, I’m following the pattern of Jungian archetypes –

Lover/Page – Cups, water, Moon, tides, emotion, connection, morning, beginnings, Spring, excited, ready, aroused

Warrior/Knight – Wands, fire, Sun, will, passion, action, day, doing, completing, integrity, Summer, committed, all in, doing the right thing

Mage/Queen – Pentacles, earth, Earth, magic, transformation, alchemy, evening, consolidating, sensing, Autumn, intuitive, loving, aware, comfortable

Master/King – Swords, air, sky, electricity, wind, wisdom, knowledge, decisions, clarity, rest, night, Winter, completion, In charge, sees the whole picture, has been through all the steps in the suit.

Penis representations

As you may guess, Phallus is a major thing for me, physically, spiritually, and visually.
Size and stages of erection represent the character’s level of excitement, emotional state, and inherent power. Sometimes, This is the general rule, but sometimes I just use size, for visual aesthetics.
There is a general rule, but not always followed:
Fear: retracted and small
Uncertain, newness, trying something: flaccid
Relaxation, contentment: tumescent
Eagerness: 45 degrees
Potent: 90 degrees
Powerful/Forceful: 180
Aggressive, mean: curved or bent

Occasionally there will be non-human creatures. they are not meant to be scary, but to represent difference.
